This workshop is designed for those who already have some experience with watercolor and would like to build their skills and explore the medium further. We will focus on one of the most important aspects of watercolor painting, finding the right balance between water and pigment. We’ll explore how different consistencies of paint and water can create soft, transparent washes or stronger, more vibrant colors. We will also practice several watercolor techniques and learn how to use them with more confidence and control. For our painting project, we will be working on birds. Birds are a wonderful subject for practicing watercolor techniques, especially layering, blending, texture, and creating both soft and detailed areas.
