About the event
The Japanese Art of Nihonga, special workshop “Let Hope Rise” with visiting artist instructor: Ayaka Uchida, visiting from Japan. Ayaka will prepare all the material needed for the class ahead of time. The pigments are ground from natural materials including leaves, roots, stones, bark and petals. The pigment colors are unique and often very bright. The paper is handmade from natural material. Every part of the process is part of the earth.
