PoWeR! Book Bags is a community service sewing project. We will be making (as many as possible!) book bags for disadvantaged and underserved kids. These book bags will be filled with new books and supplies to encourage literacy, language play, writing, creativity and social interactions. These children will be able to choose several books along with a handmade book bag and thus begin their own home book collection! Let's support this organization and these young students! You don't need to know how to sew; you may cut or press the fabric! Bring a friend and enjoy the evening!
