PAPER MAKING

$40, plus $5 materials fee, per person, paid via Venmo, or cash

This is a hands-on class. The instructors will take you through the process of turning your junk mail into useable paper! We’ll also incorporate plant fibers and add embellishments to the formed sheets. We’ll have both the western and eastern molds and deckles for you to try. We will create useable sheets of paper for you to take home! Evelyn will show you how to use various embellishments, including foraged plants, and Patricia will demonstrate how she makes 3d casts of faces with the paper.

All materials provided, but students are encouraged to bring optional items listed below:

• An old towel to lay your wet paper on for transporting home (if it’s a hot day, it may dry quickly!)
