The Holbrook Palmer Park has a wide collection of trees, flowers and plants, as well as historical architectures. In this class, we’ll learn to work swiftly in the field, identify our picture frame and composition, lay down a foundation for painting, quickly define light and shadow, and fill in the necessary elements to make a complete picture before light shifts and colors change.  Material list: 

• Watercolor palette (I use a portable folding palette with tube watercolor filled in the space, (we have block watercolor palette available for first timers) 

• Watercolor sketchbook or watercolor paper on a clipboard (We have watercolor paper available for you) 

• Brushes (I use a no. 12, no. 10 and a small one for detail) (AAF has only a few nice watercolor brushes)
