INTRODUCTION TO CHINESE WATER BRUSH PAINTING

APRIL 1 is Part 1**this starts the new series, other dates in this series are: MAY 6, Part 2 & JUNE 3, Part 3 INTRODUCTION TO CHINESE WATER BRUSH PAINTING: This class will be designed for students with no experience with Chinese Water Brush Painting. Learn the fluidity and beauty of Chinese water brush painting from Amy King using sumi (black) ink and water based mineral colors to learn value and colors.

This will be an ongoing series of 3 classes; the first Saturday of April (part 1), the first Saturday in May (part 2) and the first Saturday in June (part 3). Each class builds upon the previous class. ALL supplies (paper, ink, paint, brushes) will be supplied for you during class time. Supply fee is a one time fee for classes in the INTRO series.

4/1/2023Intro Chinese Brush Painting - Part 1 - Introduction of materials & supplies, How paper, ink and brushes works and basic brush strokes.

5/6/2023Intro Chinese Brush Painting - Part 2 - Prerequisite Part 1. We will refresh the basic brush strokes and paint bamboo, orchid etc with ink and colors.

6/3/2023Intro Chinese Brush Painting - Part 3 - Prerequisite Part 1. We will paint plum blossom and chrysanthemum with little insects etc.
