Please join us in a volunteer project that benefits Grateful Garment ( https://gratefulgarment.org ); an organization which provides support to victims of sexual crimes. They have told us that their clients sometimes find it easier to write about the trauma they have endured rather than talk about it.
Use your artistic talent to make simple 8 1/2 x 11’” decorated/collaged pages which will be assembled into a journal and donated to Grateful Garment.
Appropriate weight paper and magazines will be provided; please bring scissors, glue stick, ephemera or other art material that you would like to use on your pages.
They would like to have 50+ journals every month. A team of volunteers will assemble 10 of the decorated pages from different artists into journals, and deliver them to Grateful Garment monthly.
